02 — Project Overview

from instagram to a clear digital platform

This project was created for an independent tattoo artist based in the United States.

The goal was to build a website that reflects the artist's unique visual identity while making it easy for clients to explore the portfolio, learn about the process and book an appointment.

Instead of relying only on Instagram, the website became a dedicated platform where clients can find everything they need—from portfolio and pricing to preparation, aftercare and frequently asked questions.

The website also strengthens the artist's personal brand and supports new client inquiries.

The website had to feel personal, but also work as a practical commercial tool.

02

Showcase the artist's work.

03

Increase appointment requests.

04

Simplify communication.

06 — Design Approach

visual identity built around the artist’s own style

signature motif clean typography large imagery white space

The website was inspired by the artist's own illustration style.

Small illustrated quesadillas—his signature tattoo motif—were integrated throughout the interface as subtle graphic elements.

Rather than using typical tattoo aesthetics, the design focuses on personality, simplicity and storytelling.

The interface uses generous white space, clean typography and large imagery to let the artwork remain the center of attention.

full website experience across devices

The largest part of the case study — built around mockups, details, interface rhythm and visual storytelling.

08 — Challenges & Decisions

finding the right creative direction

The biggest challenge was finding the right creative direction.

Together with the client, we explored several completely different visual concepts before arriving at a solution that truly reflected the artist's personality.

Rather than following common tattoo website trends, we created a unique visual identity inspired directly by the artist's own work.

This collaborative process resulted in a website that feels authentic instead of generic.

10 — What I Learned
This project became my first collaboration with an international client. Working with an artist based in the United States helped me better understand how different audiences perceive design and communication. I also learned how to translate someone's personal artistic identity into a functional digital experience while balancing creativity with usability.
